Our National Champs: ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Cheer takes top NCA honors
The team reclaimed the trophy after winning the national championship in ’16, ’17 and ’18. In 2021, ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ cheer was Gameday D1A national champion.

Dallas () – The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ cheer team placed first at the NCA Collegiate National Championship in Daytona, Florida. The 32-member team first qualified to compete nationally at the summer 2023 NCA varsity camp. On April 11 through 13 they beat 15 teams for the championship in the Intermediate Small Coed Division 1A.
The team reclaimed the trophy after winning the national championship in ’16, ’17 and ’18. In 2021, ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ cheer was Gameday D1A national champion.
ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ cheer supports Mustang football, men and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball. The team also represents ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ at numerous community events.
The National Cheerleading Association has its roots at ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ, founded in 1948 by former ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ cheerleader and creator of the “Herkie” jump, Lawrence Herkimer.
